What cake smash themes are available?
Thinking of booking a cake smash photoshoot to celebrate your baby turning one? Let’s celebrate their first birthday in style - with cake and professional photography!

Cake smash photoshoots include family photos first, a birthday portrait, then the cake smash and a splash in the bubble bath to finish.
When is best to book?
I recommend booking a cake smash shoot for a couple of weeks before baby’s first birthday so you can enjoy sharing the photos on their special day. Get your date in the diary as soon as you can to ensure availability, the diary is open 12 months in advance.
How long will it take?
The full shoot will take around an hour, to include family photos first, a birthday portrait, the smash and splash in the bath.
What kind of cake is provided?
I provide an iced cake from the supermarket to go with our theme, usually a rainbow, naked or white chocolate style. If you would prefer to bring your own, please let me know on the booking form - I can recommend some local bakers who can cater for allergies and sugar free. Alternatively, a variety of fresh fruit is available - again please just let me know if you would prefer this option.
What do I wear?
For family photos plain colours tend to work well, I recommend picking a colour or material and running it through your family outfit choices so they all tie in together. For baby, you’re welcome to bring an outfit(s) however I do have a range of vests, braces, tutus and bow ties to choose from.
Can parents and children join in?
Yes! Parents and the baby’s siblings are very welcome to get a family photo first, the studio is also dog friendly if you would like to include your furry members of the family too. Siblings are welcome to join in at the end of the smash and splash sections.
What do I need to pay and when?
For the full photoshoot a £65 non refundable session fee is due when booking then nothing else is due till you’ve seen your photos.
What happens next?
Following your shoot, we will book a viewing session, this can be back at the studio or arranged online over Zoom. You can enjoy a slideshow of your best photos, professionally edited and ready to download that same day.
Choose your digital images then add prints and framed artwork too. I can guide you through this and there is absolutely no hard sell.
Payment can be made via cash, bacs, card or Klarna.

I’d love to continue our photo journey and I highly recommend an outdoor session once your baby has started walking! There are discounts off family photoshoots to be taken within 12 months.
