With over 10 years specialising in baby photography, you can be reassured that you’re in safe hands. Each session is bespoke to you, if there are certain colours you would like to choose, sentimental teddies and blankets you would like to include, you’re part of the creative process as much or as little as you would like to be.

Newborn photos are best booked within those first few weeks when baby is naturally more sleepy, however babies can of course be photographed at any age and we can still achieve a gallery of beautiful photos. For babies older than 12 weeks, please book a baby/children’s session.

What’s included?

Newborn Baby photoshoot

A photoshoot focussed on your new baby with your choice in backdrop colours, various wraps and clothing to choose from and a range of posed and more natural photos.

We will go through a variety of setups and different props at the pace of your baby, always ensuring they come first and if we need to stop to feed or settle, this is all part of the session and very normal. Family, siblings and dogs are very welcome too and there are a variety of wooden toys and books for younger children to play with whilst they’re waiting for their turn.

Including sentimental items is a great way of personalising your photoshoot - teddies and blankets both look great and we can also include these in your future photoshoots.

Watch Me Grow Package

Are you interested in photos of your new baby in their first year? Our ‘watch me grow’ package is very popular.

You can add it to your booking online - priced at £150 - the package includes a maternity session (or swap this for an 18 month shoot if you prefer), newborn shoot, photoshoot at 6 months and cake smash photoshoot. It also includes a 20% discount off your digital image packages from each session.

FAQ’s

When is best to book?

Any time from your 12 week scan, get your due date booked in and tick newborn photos off your to do list. If you have already given birth, midweek sessions are often available at short notice so please still check the diary and get in touch. Newborn photos are best booked in the first 2-3 weeks as baby is naturally more sleepy however I do take newborn bookings up to 12 weeks and beyond this, you’re very welcome to book a baby and family session to capture your baby as they grow.

How long will it take?

Choose from the newborn mini session which is 45 minutes in the studio or the full shoot which is up to 2 hours to allow time for feeding, settling and greater variety of posing which can take place at the studio or your own home.

What do I wear?

You will want to be comfortable so please dress accordingly. Plain colours tend to work well, I recommend picking a colour or material and running it through your family outfit choices so they all tie in together. For baby, you’re welcome to bring an outfit if you would like but I have neutral outfits you can use and a variety of coloured wraps for swaddled photos too so please don’t feel you need to bring too much.

Can parents and children join in?

Yes! Partners and the baby’s siblings are very welcome, Grandparents and dogs are welcome to the full photoshoot too.

Can we have the shoot at home?

Yes absolutely, I am more than happy to come to your home for newborn and family photoshoots. These take on a more lifestyle technique rather than using studio lighting and backdrops, we will work with your space and it will feel more natural.

What do I need to pay and when?

For the mini session, payment is due in full when booking and for the full photoshoot a £45 non refundable deposit is due when booking with the remaining balance due on the day. If you wish to purchase additional images, individual images are £25 each.

Payment can be made via cash, bacs, card or Klarna.

What happens next?

Following your shoot, we will book a viewing session, this can be back at the studio or arranged online over Zoom. You can enjoy a slideshow of your best photos, professionally edited and ready to download that same day.

Choose your digital images then add prints and framed artwork too. I can guide you through this and there is absolutely no hard sell.

Booking a future session.

Both mini and full newborn shoots offer a discount on a 6 month and birthday shoot, please let me know at your newborn session if you would like to book this in and we can pencil in a date. It’s great to have a date in the diary, even if closer to the time it needs adjusting slightly, as time goes so quickly, it will soon come round and you won’t want to miss the opportunity!
